Body Parts Poster （体の部位のポスター）￥100

I did a lot of research to find out whether it has a nose. I found out that the original designer, Liz Moore, included a nose in her early sketches. Also, in the Smithsonian Magazine, it says:
“The first thing you notice about C-3PO (a costume from 1983’s Return of the Jedi resides in the Smithsonian National Museum of American History) is the unblinking lantern eyes set below sculpted brows. Then the hyphen of the mouth beneath the brush stroke of a nose. Like something out of kabuki or bunraku,” Daniels says, “it’s a wonderful blank, beautiful mask that you can put, place an emotion on.” He plays it that way, indicating emotions by posture alone, the angle of the chin, the poise of the fingertips.

So, even though it doesn’t function as a nose, I decided to call it a “nose” based on that description.

「鼻があるかどうか、いろいろ調べました。最初にデザインをしたリズ・ムーアさんが、下絵の段階で鼻を描いていたことがわかりました。さらに、Smithsonian Magazine には次のように書かれていました：
『まず目に入るのは、動かないランタンのような目と、その上の彫刻のような眉。そして、その下にある“鼻の筆の一描き”のようなものの下に、ハイフンのような口がある。歌舞伎や文楽を思わせるような姿だ』とダニエルズ氏は言います。『それは感情を映し出すための“空っぽで美しい仮面”のようなもので、彼はそれを身体の姿勢やあごの角度、指先の動きだけで感情を表現するように演じている』。

このように、機能的な“鼻”ではないけれど、表現として“nose（鼻）”と書くことにしました。
